February 5, 2011 – Deliberative Session at 9:00 a.m. at the Allenstown Elementary School. At this public hearing, voters discussed, questioned, and argued about the town, school, and sewer budgets.

Only two town warrant articles were amended: #19 & 21. There was hardly any discussion of the $10 million school budget but people argued about the sewer budget for over 1/2 hour. Go figure...

March 8, 2011 – Town Election was from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Allenstown Elementary School. It was a fine sunny day with temps in the 40s. Sadly, only 462 voters cast ballots compared with 639 last year. With over 2800 registered voters, the turnout was only 16% of all voters.

Shame on you nonvoters for letting 462 people decide the issues!
