Sept. 25, 2017
new  Clearview, Highfield, and Birchwood Drives Paved. Three roads that connect to Deerfield Rd. have been paved. These are located in the northeast area of town between Podunk Rd. and Mt. Delight Rd.

July 6, 2017
 River Road Extended Paving. An additional 1/2 mile length of River Rd. was paved starting today. This project covered the section from the Granite St. intersection past the cemetery and ending at Boat Meadow Brook at the guard rails. The cost for this work was $52,615.00.
updated (Aug. 7, 2017) The final layer of pavement has been laid down and the road edges feathered with gravel. No more bunps.

June 5, 2017
 Upper Deerfield Rd. Paving Project. At the June 5 Selectmen's meeting, the Board accepted the bid from Advanced Excavating Co. as the best choice. This is the same company that the state hired to pave the first 2 1/2 miles of Deerfield Rd. last summer. The bids were $59,616 for Phase I and $123,650 for Phase II. Mr. Mulholland was directed to draft a contract to issue to Advanced Excavating.
(Aug. 11, 2017) Paving work was scheduled to start on Monday, June 19, but was delayed while bids were being evaluated. The road sign now states Aug. 14 as the new start date.
updated (Aug. 16, 2017) For one day, the upper end of the road was ground down to the gravel and looked like the original road back in the 1940s. Repaving started near Mt. Delight Rd. and ended past Podunk Rd. at the stone post across from house no. 298.

 Board of Selectmen (BOS) Meeting. Every two or three weeks on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. at Town Hall.

Town Economic Committee. The Board of Selectmen has implemented a Town Economic Committee and is looking for volunteers. If you are interested in helping grow Allenstown, please send e-mail to the Town Administrator or call 485-4276.
