The Allenstown Police Department provides 24/7 coverage of the town with the goal of preventing crime and disorder. The department also assists with the prosecution of offenders, and responds to motor vehicle accidents, among other activities. The Dispatch Center of the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office provides dispatch service when no officers are at the Police Station.

The Police Station is located at 40 Allenstown Road, which is on the corner of Route 3&28 and Granite St. You can call 485-9500 if you have any questions that are not emergencies. Call 911 in case of an emergency.

On Dec. 31, 2018, Chief Paul Paquette officially retired from the force. We all thank him for his service to the town.

 At the Mar. 11, 2019 Selectmen's meeting, Michael Stark was sworn in as the new Chief of Police. Many family members, friends, and police officers attended the ceremony, and applauded this achievement. He has been serving the town with distinction since then.
