Blood Drive Sponsored by the Allenstown Fire Department

The Allenstown Fire Dept. is hosting a blood drive for the American Red Cross on May 31. Come over to the Fire Station on Ferry St. between 2 and 7 p.m. and donate a pint of that life-saving gift.

Did you know that they collect two types of blood? They collect whole blood and "power red" which is the result of filtering the red cells and returning most of the plasma and platelets to the donor. For this type of donation, you must meet specific requirements.
