The Allenstown Schools

As of August 2021, SAU 53 and its member school districts have had major web site upgrades.

The Allenstown School District consists of three schools.

• Allenstown Elementary School (AES): Students from kindergarten through fifth grade attend AES at 30 South Main Street.

  The new School District Principal for AES and ARD is Shannon Kruger. Contact her at skruger@sau53.org or call 603-485-4474. Shannon replaced AES School Principal Ginelle Gzerula back in the Spring but the School Board failed to notify the WHOLE TOWN of the change.

  

• Armand R. Dupont School (ARD): Students from sixth through eighth grade attend ARD at 10 1/2 School Street.

  The new School District Assistant Principal is Sarah Petersons. Contact her at spetersons@sau53.org or call 603-485-4474.

  

• Pembroke Academy (PA): Allenstown high school students (grades 9 to 12) attend PA at 209 Academy Road, Pembroke. Allenstown pays a negotiated tuition to Pembroke for these high school students.

Allenstown School Board

The Allenstown School Board consists of several members who develop an annual budget for the town schools and for Allenstown's portion of the Pembroke Academy budget. (School budgets runs from July 1 to June 30.) School Board members are elected for three-year terms.

After the March 2022 election, Crystal Venegas was re-elected to a one-year term and Kelsey Menelaus Charest was elected for a three year term. On the SAU web site, Kris Raymond's name was changed to Kris Bellerose but her Facebook page shows it as Kris Bellerose Raymond. At the March 14 board meeting, Peter Warburton read a letter in which Carl Schaeffer resigned from the board. The board also voted for Jody Moore to be the new Chairwoman. ("Chair" sounds so cancel culture.) The school board web site now shows a notice of a vacancy for a one-year term to fill Mr. Schaefer's vacated position.

at 6:00 p.m. at AES.
