Town Hall Check town web site for current business hours. The Tri-Town Emergency Medical Service (Tri-Town EMS) originally served Pembroke, Allenstown, and Hooksett. Back around 2012, Hooksett started their own ambulance service at their fire department. The current Tri-Town ambulance is now housed at the Pembroke Safety Center. Pembroke and Allenstown now operate this non-profit ambulance service and created a board of directors to oversee operations. Board members are appointed from each town and meet monthly. They recommend an annual budget (net cost) to each town which then goes through the typical budget process. Insurance payments and other revenue are first deducted from operating costs, and the net cost for each town is determined by actual usage.
The primary ambulance was purchased in 2016, and the backup ambulance was purchased in 2012. Practical and safety considerations have dictated that the primary ambulance is to be in service for six years, and then is to be kept as a backup vehicle for another six years. Technically, the service is really a Bi-Town EMS but that may not sound as impressive as Tri-Town EMS. If you look at the Post Office building on Glass St., it says Pembroke, Allenstown, Suncook, so there are the three towns they need.
