The Parks and Recreation Commission oversees the parks within the town, and manages and maintains the ball fields used by the youth for Little League Baseball, soccer, and softball. The commission also works with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central New Hampshire to provide a safe place for children to enjoy activities after school and during the summer. Commissioners worked with the town to develop the new Allenstown Community Center on Whitten St.

As noted in the table, volunteers are sorely needed.
