New Town Signs Sport Cute Bear Cubs

Last week, yours truly worked with Dave and JJ from the Allenstown Highway Dept. to install bear cubs on the three new town signs.

The signs are located on Rte. 3 & 28 coming in from Hooksett, on Rte. 3 coming south down the hill from Pembroke, and on Rte. 28 southbound after the bridge over the Suncook River.

It was a bit of work since we had to remove each sign board, install the bears, and then re-install the sign board. But we got 'er done.

The following sign was the last one that was worked on. Note that the sun had moved to the other side of the sign so the bears were not as brighly illuminated.

The response from residents has been overwhelmingly positive so far. Be sure to send your comments to the Economic Development Committee, whose members are working to improve the business climate in Allenstown and foster community pride.
