Long Empty Properties Sold

Perhaps the news about the new business tax exemption that the voters approved in March is having a positive effect. The owners of the Grossman property at 15 Chester Tpke. have submitted site plans to the Planning Board for a self-storage facility. Also, two commercial properties have been sold.

It was recently learned that the old Key-Loc property at the corner of Route 28 and Chester Turnpike was sold at the end of April for $1.2 million (which was less than the asking price). The seller was Yukon Realty Investment LTD and the buyer was CJL LLC apparently owned by Charles Morgan of Morgan Self-Storage of Manchester and Salem, NH.

The other sold property is at 3 Chester Turnpike, which is adjacent to the Key-Loc property, but does not involve the Daycare Center. This property sold for $300,000. The same seller and buyer were involved in this sale.

The new owner specializes in business record storage and warehousing, as well as vehicle storage and residential storage.

What You Can Do

There has not yet been any site plan submitted to the Planning Board for the old Key-Loc site, but there have been signs of activity such as tree and brush removal along the perimeter of the property.

The Grossman site plans are to be reviewed at the May 16th Planning Board meeting. Feel free to attend if you want to learn more about that project.
