Marching in the 2018 Old Home Day Parade was a different kind of fun compared to watching the parade pass by. The people who lined the streets had fun watching and waving to all the marchers, bands, floats, classic cars, tractors, and fire trucks. The people in the parade got to see all the cheering parade watchers, smiling faces, and happy children waiting for the candy to be handed out.

The parade started at 10:00 a.m. when the first section turned from Letendre Ave. onto School St. A rocking band was performing in front of the Allenstown Town Hall. Onlookers increased as the parade turned right onto Main St. The largest gathering was on either side of the bridge over the Suncook River. The parade then took a sharp left turn down Union St. as it headed for Memorial Field.

The following photos are gathered here to help you remember the day when residents of Allenstown and Pembroke joined together for a festive celebration.
