Check Out the New Welcome Signs

Dateline July 10, 2019

town sign near Hooksett

The town now has three new welcome signs installed on the major routes into town. It has been years since the previous signs were installed and unfortunately they were deteriorating due to years in the wind and the weather. The Highway Dept. removed the old ones and delivered them to the Allenstown Historical Society.

The preceding photo was taken on Route 28 southbound just past the bridge over the Suncook River. In the distance, below the town sign, you can see the Bear Brook State Park sign at Deerfield Rd. To the left is the Robert Frost historic plaque.

The other signs are located on Route 3 & 28 northbound from Hooksett and before the Granite St. traffic light, and on Route 3 southbound just before the traffic light at School St.

All signs were fabricated and installed by Prosource Signs in Derry, NH.
