Earlier this year, the Economic Development Committee (EDC) took up the challenge of researching, tracking down, interviewing, and verifying entries in the Business Directory on the Allenstown web site. The goal was to relieve local business owners of this task and make sure their business entries were accurate and up to date.
Back in 2018, with encouragement from the Economic Development Committee (EDC), local businesses submitted their business details for the new online Business Directory that was created on the main menu of the Allenstown web site. Since then, business details have changed but the Business Directory entries have not.
The EDC tracking spreadsheet now contains 88 businesses of which 60 have been verified and updated. Did you realize we had that many businesses in town? Many operate from store fronts, others are home businesses.
Recently, three new local businesses have been identified and added to the Business Directory.
